Toronto, Ontario – Mac Clark, a rising star in Canadian motorsport, showcased his talent with a spectacular win at the Carb Night Classic held at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park, on May 26th, 2023. In front of a large and enthusiastic crowd, Clark dominated his first oval event and emerged victorious in the annual USF2000 Freedom 75.

Clark demonstrated his skill during the single-car qualifying session, securing his first-ever USF2000 Cooper Tires Pole Award. Starting from the front of the grid, the young Canadian maintained his lead throughout the race, fending off rivals and building a significant advantage to the checkered flag.

Expressing his elation after the race win, Clark was quoted saying, “To describe a night like tonight, it’s hard to put into words. It’s incredible, it feels amazing. It has been too long since we have won a race, and now to be on the top step of the podium with these boys and DEForce Racing, it’s a great accomplishment.” He continued, expressing his gratitude to everyone who is supporting his 2023 program, “I want to thank all the people that continue to believe in me and are a part of my campaign this year; Clubine Motorsports, TNG Exotics, Valkyrie AI, and Actuary Risk Management (ARM), we wouldn’t be on track without you guys and girls and I am so beyond grateful for your support.”

Mac Clark’s triumph at the Carb Night Classic marks a significant milestone in his already impressive junior career. Having been honored with the Rising Star Award at the Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame (CMHF) Induction Gala this past winter, Clark is not new to success in road racing. His recent USF Juniors championship win, earned him a substantial scholarship to help move up and compete in the Road to Indy USF2000 Championship this season.

Clubine Motorsports, in collaboration with OTSFF, has been instrumental in supporting Mac’s racing aspirations in 2023. Bill Clubine, the driving force behind Clubine Motorsports, recognized Clark’s talent early on and took on the role of friend, mentor, advocate, and sponsor for the young racer. Speaking about Clark, Clubine remarked, “With Mac, we’ve got something special here. We’ve got to help this kid. And that’s exactly what I’m doing.”

Along with Clubine Motorsports, Austin TX based Valkyrie AI (CEO Charlie Burgoyne) is back on board riding with Mac after their 2022 championship run as the title sponsor of his #17 DEforce Racing machine. “I’m very happy to have Valkyrie back with us this year, they are an amazing group of people and I feel proud to be a part of their team,” remarked Clark.

Keeping it busy south of the border, Clark welcomed another new partner this season in Actuary Risk Management. CEO Cory Zass (ARM) shares Canadian roots with the young pilot and is a big supporter of the MCR program in 2023. “Austin (Texas) is starting to feel like my American home,” Mac laughs. “Having Valkyrie and ARM here, I’m starting to like this place, haha. Jokes aside, I’m looking forward to building my relationship with Cory and ARM all the way to the big show. I’m proud to have great partners like this who can grow with me to IndyCar.” Cory Zass commented on the matter,

“Actuarial Risk Management (ARM) is honoured to sponsor Canadian-born race car prodigy – Mac Clark – in his pursuit of great racing goals and aspirations. While Mac’s journey to greatness is not going to be easy, we are excited to provide some financial security along the way. Keep up the dedication. We continue to be steadfast in rooting for you throughout this season.”

Mac Clark Racing also recently announced the addition of Angelo Paletta, a passionate motorsport enthusiast and businessman, to their team. Paletta’s support and partnership is providing crucial resources and guidance to further propel Mac’s career. Commenting on his involvement, Paletta (TNG Exotics & Limited Editions) stated, “I think he’s a great kid, has a great personality, he’s very polite, respectful and appreciative. It’s good to see that in the younger generation.”

Clark’s next Canadian appearance will be at Toronto’s Honda Indy in July, where he will compete in the USF2000 support series races.

Furthermore, as per MCR’s last release, Road to Racing has recently partnered with Clark to offer charitable tax receipts for donors who wish to contribute to his fundraising campaign. This partnership will help Mac continue his journey to professional racing by providing him with the necessary funds to compete at the highest level.

Clark’s recent victory at the Carb Night Classic solidifies his position as a contender in the USF2000 Championship. Despite encountering early-season mechanical issues, he has climbed to fifth place in the championship standings after eight races. Mac’s next race is this coming week, June 15-18 at the famous Road America circuit. Follow along with the action via www.MacClarkRacing.com.
